INFLATABLE PLAY CENTRES FAQ'S

The Bounce Departments rules and regulations:

In order for your day to go without a hitch The Bounce Department would appreciate you taking the time to familiarise yourself with our rules and regulations which are there to maximise your enjoyment whilst minimising your chance of anything untoward happening:
  1. Please aim to have at least 4ft of free space all the way around the inflatable for staking and for safety reasons.
  2. Please ensure all users remove any footwear prior to using the inflatable.
  3. Please keep all glass items away from the inflatable.
  4. No food or drinks is to be allowed on any of the equipment.
  5. No persons over the age of fourteen to be allowed on the equipment unless an adult inflatable is ordered and delivered.
  6. No one under the influence of alcohol or drugs are to use the inflatables.
  7. Use of the inflatables is to be supervised by recommended number of adults at all times. Ask on delivery.
  8. Please ensure there is adequate height to allow for our inflatables (no over hanging trees in gardens etc) as we do not allow time in our schedules to cut back branches.
  9. Please ensure that on delivery pathways leading to the site of erection must be clear of objects.
  10. Side access must be 2.5ft wide +. If you have no side access, please call Richard immediately for advice on 07740 334268
  11. Once castle is erected it is not to be moved for safety reasons
  12. If castle is muddy on collection, a cleaning charge may apply. Soapy water/baby wipes makes a good cleaner!
  13. If hiring a bouncer for indoors please ensure ceilings (in halls) are no less than 16’ high.
  14. The hired equipment must be fully supervised at all time by an adult (over 18yrs).

Bouncy Castle and inflatable hire FAQs

1. How do I book?

We have a couple of options when you wish to make a booking. We have a fantastic online booking system provided to us by the Bouncy Castle Network. You can simply search our items for hire, check its availability and click on the book now button to be taken through to the booking system. It couldn't be simpler! You can also contact 02380 000 423 if you want to go through your booking in a little more detail or if you are interested in a larger multi unit deal.

2. How much notice do I need to give for a booking?

You can book anytime however we are not always available to answer should you leave things to the last minute. Ideally bookings will be processed before 3pm on a Friday if you are wishing to have your inflatables for the weekend as our storage closes at 5pm.

3. What do the prices include?

All bouncy castle booking prices include local delivery, a small charge may need to be charged for out of area deliveries (You can check delivery charges by clicking the 'Check Availability' button below an Asset and choosing your postcode) You will also receive everything needed to inflate the castle, which will be carried out by us at no extra charge. This includes a blower, extension cable, mats, set up, inflation and collection. No Hidden Extra’s.

4. When are your bouncy castles available?

Our castles are available 7 days a week all year round including Bank Holidays.

5. How long do I get the equipment for?

Most parties are in the afternoon and so we will deliver and set up your castle between 8:00am and 8:00pm, we will then come and take the castle away after your party has finished usually from 6 pm onwards although collection & drop off times can be arranged to suit . Overnight Hire & Late collection is available.

6. Do you hire overnight?

Yes, overnight hire is fine we charge an extra £30, simply mention it to us when ordering or add it to your online booking.

7. How do I pay?

We'll need a 50% deposit to secure your booking and we ask that the final balance is paid on the week leading up to the hire. We normally send an invoice with a payment button attached for this which allows you to pay online. If you prefer we're also happy to take a cheque or you can pay via BACS transfer.

8. What if I need to cancel?

If you wish to cancel your booking, The Bounce Department must be advised by telephone or email at least 48 hours before the hire. We will offer to transfer your booking to another date or in the case of The Bounce Department cancelling due to poor weather conditions we will offer you a full refund.

9. What if it rains or is windy?

Our equipment has been designed for use in indoor and outdoor conditions. However when it gets wet the equipment may become slippery and therefore increase the possibility of injury to users. In such cases the equipment should NOT be used. We reserve the right to cancel any booking if the weather conditions are such that it is considered unsafe. When there are high winds/bad weather then the equipment should be deflated and covered over with ‚Äča tarpaulin sheet. The industry recommends a maximum wind speed of Force 5 on the Beaufort scale of 19-24 mph. In the event of wind conditions reaching Force 5 (19-24 mph) all users must leave the inflatable and all electrical equipment must be turned off from the mains, by a responsible adult.

10. Can the inflatable be set up on Tarmac?

Unfortunately we cannot set up our inflatables on tarmac as it is difficult to sufficiently anchor them down which could result in the inflatable moving in the wind or when being used.

11. Obstructions

Please make sure obstructions such as all dog do-do's, swings, slides, patio furniture, rubbish etc are removed before the castle arrives. At busy times we may be unable to wait for the area to be cleared due to other hires and events.

12. Do you have Public Liability Insurance?

We are fully insured for £5 million public liability. You can download our insurance certificate here

13. Is all of your electrical equipment PAT tested?

Yes, any items that are under a year old are covered under Manufacturers warranty and therefore will not be PAT tested.

14. How long does it take to set up/pack up an inflatable?

The average bouncy castle takes approximately 15-20 minutes to set up and about the same to pack away. Please note that larger inflatables will take slightly longer.

15. What do I do if my inflatable starts to deflate?

Make sure everyone gets off the inflatable immediately then check ithat the blower hasn’t detached from the inflatable & make sure everything is plugged in to the electrics. That should solve the problem.
